Jordan Raskopoulos

 

Jordan Raskopoulos is a Sydney based digital content creator, comedian, broadcaster and musician. Her career in entertainment has straddled live theatre, television, film and online. She is an adept performer, writer, producer, director, editor and animator and cooks a mean brisket.

Jordan is well known for her work as a comedian and as the lead singer of The Axis of Awesome. In more recent years, Jordan’s focus has shifted from the stage and live touring to digital content creation. Jordan has amassed over 400,000 followers on TikTok with her short form humour content and broadcasts a variety of live content on Twitch including an interactive animated comedy show, where Jordan and her A.I. powered lizard son embark on animated adventures best described as a mix of Blues Clues and Twin Peaks. 

Jordan got her start as one of the creators and stars of Network Ten’s sketch comedy program The Ronnie Johns Good Times Campfire Jamboree Half Hour Show Now On Television (The Ronnie Johns Half Hour). The show was nominated for two Logie awards, including “most outstanding comedy series” and was a cult comedy hit in Australia and internationally.

Jordan is also an accomplished writer, journalist and events host. She has had stories published in numerous anthologies and work published by The Guardian and Junkee Media. She has also contributed copy, voices and characters to children’s television and high profile advertising and promotional campaigns. She’s also given a Ted Talk!

Jordan is an Australian National Theatresports champion and sometimes goes on television programs and panel shows like Question Everything, Good News Week, QandA, Whovians and Thank God You’re Here.

Jordan’s also had supporting roles in two Australian films. As Trax, Julian Assange’s hacker compatriot, in Underground: The Julian Assange Story, which debuted at the Toronto Film Festival to critical acclaim and as Helen Reddy’s transgender housekeeper and friend Sylvia in I Am Woman.

Jordan is a transgender woman and an outspoken advocate for LGBTQIA+ and mental health causes. She is an ambassador to Twenty10, a social services organisation for LGBTQIA+ youth.
